Update on Employee Situation

Thanks for your continued prayers on behalf of HCJB Global in Ecuador. In recent days, the Employees’ Association elected new leadership, which has been officially recognized and legalized by the Ecuadorian governmental Work Inspection office here in Quito. Mission leadership has begun dialogues with this new group, and sessions are planned in the near future to resolve concerns.

Be assured that there is an atmosphere of calm, and a return to normalcy. There is also great expectation that all can work together for mutual understanding and resolution to some outstanding issues. However, please continue to pray for wisdom and grace for both mission and Employees’ Association leadership, as there is still a lot of work to be done. We have been encouraged by the concern and heart for ministry expressed by a large number of our employees throughout these last few weeks, and we ask that your prayers would be focused on the godly leadership amongst our employees that brings us much hope for the future.
