June 2010 Update

Greetings from our home to yours! We have much for which to be thankful. Each day we are grateful for God's daily provision, for our numerous friends who pray for us and support us through financial giving. It is through your partnership that we are able to minister here in the Mexican Border Region.

These past couple of months have seen Steve go to World Radio Network/Radio Cadena Manantial (WRN/RCM) headquarters near McAllen, Texas. It was a fruitful time to get to know the people there and have some face to face planning meetings with some of the technical group of the mission. Steve has been working on upgrading some of the aspects of the network infrastructure for better monitoring and access between sites. Many of the station managers have been requesting for years access to monitor the radio station from outside and Steve has been implementing a solution to this. Another project has been the migration of the email for the mission from our current server to a new service. With God's help, that should be completed within about three weeks and will give better access to email to all within the organization.

What does a typical day look like? Well, it starts with trying to catch up on email and any news about Information Technology (IT) that might affect our network. This might also include trying to help out others that are having difficulty with the same programs we use. It continues with trying to work on the current project (which is currently the email migration or the upgrading of the monitoring of the network) along with fielding any trouble calls and trying to work through the situation over the phone and checking in with the other stations. We would ask you to pray along with us for each station along the border region as they minister in this needy and increasingly violent area.

We also thank you for praying for the financial situation of WRN/RCM and are grateful to God to see that it has leveled out through some austerity measures and reorganization.

In addition, we have been asking God that he would be working in the neighborhood where he has allowed us to live and to make our house a lighthouse for him in this area. We would ask you to pray along with us for this. We have been grateful to God for his allowing us to get to know the neighbors around us even though neither Pauli or Steve are extremely outgoing and extroverted. We would ask that you pray along with us for the Holy Spirit to work in our home and neighborhood drawing people to him.

Pauli continues to work in making our house an inviting home for all as well as working with the nursery at the church. Pray for her for those days when the three kids aren't being perfect angels and end up listening more to their sinful nature than they should.

We ask that you pray for God to work as we keep our eyes open for the opportunity to open a Spanish or bilingual small group in our home.

We would also ask that you pray with us for more to join our support team.

We, like you, are simply striving to do what God has called us to do, and we are appreciative of your support. We ask you to continue praying for us, that we would be faithful stewards of our time, talents, and resources to further His kingdom.

In Christ,

Steve, Pauli, Keilah, Kendra, & Kyle
